The Bangladesh Association of New Jersey (BANJ). BANJ is a nonprofit organization committed to celebrating and preserving the cultural and ethnic heritage of the Bangladeshi community in New Jersey.

BANJ is committed to fostering the cultural and ethnic heritage of the Bangladeshi community in New Jersey. Annually, the organization hosts a variety of cultural programs, seminars, and an annual picnic to celebrate Bengali heritage and enhance communication among community members. Additionally, BANJ serves as a representative of the Bangladeshi community at national events, including the FOBANA (Forum of Bangladeshi Associations of North America) Conference, Nazrul Sammelon, and other cultural and literary conferences. BANJ actively engages in addressing local and national issues affecting the Bangladeshi community, with its members participating in various forums that support community interests. The organization also utilizes its resources to assist with critical causes, such as providing support to flood victims in Bangladesh.​

Key Objectives of BANJ:

- Promote Bangladeshi culture and heritage among the new generation of American Bengalis.
- Foster friendship and enhance interaction among members of the Bangladeshi community.
- Advance the well-being of Bangladeshi communities across the United States.
- Extend outreach to individuals of all backgrounds, irrespective of country of origin, religion, race, or ethnicity.
- Commemorate National Days, including Amar Ekushey, Mohan Bijoy Dibosh, and Shadinota Dibosh.
- Engage the new generation in leadership roles.
- Support the new generation in learning and writing Bengali by establishing a dedicated school.
- Educate the new generation about the rich wealth of Bangladeshi literature, poetry, and political history.
- Encourage youth to participate in volunteer opportunities at nursing homes, senior citizen centers, and similar         organizations.
- Advocate for the establishment of a Bangladeshi Community Center, recognizing the long-standing need for such a       
​   facility, and lay the groundwork for future leadership to make this vision a reality.
